Merlin’s Coast to Coast

15 June, 2014
Starting from Hewas Water
Organiser Kathryn Mcfarlane

This event is organised by Probus Pedallers to raise funds for the Merlin MS Centre  which is an outstanding charity supporting people with multiple sclerosis.  It is a source of great support both to people suffering with the condition and to their carers.  This ride therefore has a slightly higher than normal entry fee of £10 but participants are also invited to raise additional sponsorship money if they would like to do so.  A sponsorship form can be obtained by accessing the Merlin MS Centre’s own website at the following address:

http://www.merlinmscentre.org.uk/images/Sponsor_Form_for_web.pdf

Or alternatively by contacting Sarah Snell on (01726) 885536.

The route goes up to Trevose on Cornwall’s spectacular North coast returning via Charlestown and Carlyon Bay on the South coast.

The ride takes in some of Cornwall’s finest coastal scenery on the North Coast, before meandering back to the South Coast through some of the industrial heartland. It passes under the famous Treffry Viaduct at Luxulyan.

Refreshments will be available at the Merlin MS Centre at the end of the ride and a goody bag is also available, kindly donated by Clive Mitchell cycles.  Fred will be there at the Merlin Centre for the start of the ride to help with any minor glitches to bikes etc to ensure that things go smoothly on the day.  There will even be someone out there taking photos to commemorate the event.
