Best laid plans

Very belatedly, here are the links to results for the October Celtic Coastal and Celtic Canter events and Ed’s Mince Pie and Mulled Wine event in December.

Both events went ahead very enjoyably despite unforeseen problems – so special thanks to organisers who (re)organised, riders who turned out despite poor weather forecasts, cake makers and tea pourers all.

Many Rivers to Cross

Sunday 10th June 2018
Starting from Penzance
Organiser Martyn Aldis

306km Brevet de Randonneur. A very substantial day out for the well‐prepared and self‐reliant randonneur. Crosses the rivers Fal, Fowey and Camel by ferries and bridges, large and small.

This is a return of the 2010 Many Rivers route after the lengthy disruptions caused by the A30 dualling works. Slight modifications give an extra sea vista above Porthscatho and an easier crossing of the A30 taking advantage of the new overbridge.

Note that this is an “X-rated” event, which means there are no manned controls or specific facilities. You attach commercial or ATM receipts to your brevet card for timed controls, and post it to the organiser after the event. No on-the-line entries.
